Six Vermont Properties Recognized in Conde Nast Traveler's Top Hotels in New England: Readers' Choice Awards 2017

Conde Nast Traveler readers rated the top hotels in New England for 2017 and six prestigious Vermont lodging properties were among the 40 that were recognized.

Five Vermont properties, including Hotel Vermont of Burlington at No. 4, were named among the Top 20 hotels in Conde Nast Traveler's Top Hotels in New England: Readers' Choice Awards. This is the third year in a row that Hotel Vermont has been honored in the Top 5 of these rankings.

Rounding out Vermont's presence in the rankings were The Pitcher Inn of Warren at No. 12, Twin Farms of Barnard at No. 15, Windham Hill Inn of West Townshend at No. 17, Kimpton Taconic Hotel of Manchester at No. 18, and Field Guide of Stowe at No. 23.

"It is an honor to have Conde Nast Traveler readers recognize Vermont hotels for their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail," said Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing Commissioner Wendy Knight. "Tourism is a $2.6 billion dollar annual industry in Vermont, and the world-class lodging properties throughout the state are vital contributors to the vibrancy of this important sector. We are proud and grateful for the top-notch travel experiences properties like Hotel Vermont, The Pitcher Inn, Twin Farms, Windham Hill Inn, Kimpton Taconic Hotel, and Field Guide offer visitors to and residents of Vermont."

According to Conde Nast Traveler, more than 300,000 travelers took part in their 30th Annual Readers' Choice Awards survey which rated hotels from around the world. Readers were asked to respond to survey questions, cast their votes and submit their comments exclusively online.
