About the Vermont.gov Redesign
In September 2007, the new design of Vermont.gov was launched.
The redesign effort was the result of months of research, analysis and content updates, all designed to make the experience of visiting Vermont.gov better for you, the user. Our hope, and a primary goal of the redesign, is that if you visit only the home page of Vermont.gov, you will learn something about our great state.
What's new?
User centric design
Information is now organized by subject areas as opposed to the organizational structure of government. Links to information, resources, and services from various state entities are now grouped together based on a common subject area.
Enhanced search
The site now utilizes a dedicated Google search for Vermont government web pages.
New services
Vermont.gov has been enhanced with new services including easy to find and to use links for weather, maps, road reports, and calendars. Online services are prominently displayed so you can quickly access Vermont services.
It's about Vermont
Vermonters like to know what.s happening in the Green Mountain State, and the new redesign provides many ways to get news, important alerts, and special timely features, such as new programs or statewide events.
An updated look
Vermont is a beautiful state, and it deserves a website that reflects that beauty. Our goal was a to provide a clean design in which the people and places of Vermont could be shown.
The Vermont experience
The new Vermont.gov design lets you interact with the site in the "Share a Vermont Moment" section. Tell us a story about a Vermont experience, share a photo of a moment of beauty in this great state, or simply read about the experiences of others. It's a way to celebrate Vermont!
