Vermont Procurement Technical Center Hosts Free Introduction to Government Contracting Workshop February 7 in Burlington, Vt.

The Vermont Procurement Technical Center will be offering a free Introduction to Government Contracting Workshop on Friday, February 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation Building (GBIC) in Burlington, Vt.

The Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (VT PTAC) team will outline the process used by Federal, State and local Governments to procure products and services and present the fundamentals of government contracting and subcontracting. The VT PTAC counselors will also help business owners determine if opportunities exist for their small business, while clarifying the requirements, and simplifying the process of government contracting. Discussion topics include: understanding the registration process, how to locate bid opportunities, and marketing your company to the government to compete for contracts.
