ANR to Issue Report on the Health of Vermont’s Environment

In honor of Earth Day, Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Deb Markowitz and Commissioners, David Mears, Patrick Berry and Michael Snyder will be releasing a report on the health of Vermont’s environment.

The report relies on sound scientific information to help us understand the challenges we face and the steps we might take to meet them. It also recognizes the close ties between the quality of our environment, the quality of our lives, the strength of our economy and our health.

This project took nearly a year to complete and includes data on key indicators of the health of our water, air, forests and wildlife. In light of the significant floods experienced this past year, the theme of this year’s environmental health report is “Resilience.”
