The Vermont River Conservancy (VRC) has withdrawn its proposal to the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) to rename several state-owned properties and public access easements along the upper Connecticut River to The Canute Dalmasse State Park. ANR considers the proposal withdrawn and the names of the aforementioned state-owned parcels and accesses will remain unchanged.
VRC will be considering other options to honor the memory of Canute Dalmasse, a former commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation, who dedicated his career to protecting and enhancing Vermont’s natural resources.
