Just a few weeks ago, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department dipped its toe into the world of social media, establishing its own Facebook page. Now the department is asking for assistance in making the Facebook page even more connected and vibrant.
Given the tremendous outdoor opportunities available to Vermonters in May, the department is asking the general public to contribute photographs captured this month by wildlife watchers, anglers and turkey hunters.
“It’s a fabulous time to be outdoors with a camera in hand,” said Fish & Wildlife Commissioner Patrick Berry. “As we get our Facebook page up and running, we’d love for people to share some of their images on the page. We’re looking for almost anything that shows Vermont’s outdoors – from turkey hunting to fishing to nice photos of wildlife or wild places.”
The Facebook page is “Vermont Fish & Wildlife” and is being used more and more by the department as a place to provide up-to-the-minute news and information.
“Facebook is also a place for members of Vermont’s outdoor community to share their experiences,” said Berry. “It’s a great place to have conversations with people who enjoy our natural resources.”
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department has the right to delete or remove any photos or postings on the Facebook page.
