Barre, Vt. - The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) on Monday, May 24 will close a segment of Quarry Hill Road in Barre City so that crews can replace a Railroad crossing. Quarry Hill Road will be closed from the Intersection of Route 302 to Hale Street. Traffic using the upper section of Quarry Hill will be detoured onto Hale and Circle Streets.
This maintenance project is being conducted in conjunction with the Central Vermont Rail Road. The lower portion of Quarry Hill Road will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday and will be reopened when crews complete their work, which could be Monday evening. However, if work is not completed by Monday night, the road will also be closed Tuesday, May 25 until work is complete. For more information, call 802-828-1647.
